February Moon

The February moon
Was well filled
It waxed fantastic
Ringed with a rainbow
Nearly full
Surrounded
By the spectrum
And all the stars
In the infinite
Skies and space
Beyond perception
I propose
Which exquisite wonders
Will follow
As I am graced
With the sight
On a clear night
Once hazed by fog
Off-cast due to wind
I realize
The rhythm
When I read into
The rhyme
I find
A need
To remain aware
And continue
To be impressed
By each successive breath
As this February moon
Fills me
With awe

As The Mighty Phoenix (Into The Wildfires)

You must believe
In order to survive
When you choose to fly
Into the wildfires
That these flames
Possess the power
To purify
That you will
Come out more alive
That you will
Rise
Anew with the water of life
Welling up from the ashes
As the mighty phoenix
You must
Believe this

Radiant Underneath

Silence
Waiting through the layers of
The labyrinth around your heart
Twilight slips into evening
I remain
Without thoughts of leaving
I still want to know
The way through this maze
I recognize
The substance of which
It's been paved
Hidden between cracks
I always see
That the most beautiful
Radiant light lies underneath

Love Anew Light

The moon rises now
Thinnest sliver that can be
Love anew light beams

Design a Flow

Measure twice
To cut once
Make the model
Realistic to scale
In proper detail
Do not fail
To mark the faults
Upon the site
Because you must
Provide drainage right
To the retention pond
Water won't sink through
An impervious surface
And drain
It will remain
Without a pitch
To lead it in the ditch
Where culverts may run
Hidden under traffic some
Still must be shown
In representation
How one will handle
Weather events
Even those unexpected
Should not flood
Out into the street
Design
So as to keep
A flow
Of where the water
Will want to go
Naturally
Following the contours
Rushing rain
Into the storm drain
