A Calm Moment

Standing

Still amongst the onrushing
Cold winds blowing around me
The mist of my breath is taken
Lost in the night time
As my eyes are drawn upward
To the light of the full moon rising
Finding a calm moment
With a clear mind
I hear fallen leaves crisp
Wafting in evening autumn air
Chilled, howling and brisk

Needs negotiated away

Wavering vexations 

Traversed upon known paths

Moments mused by the motion

Tentative tenacious liberties

Taken with me

Taken by me

Minded more so than less

Gestured in caress

Strong hands kneading

A pale freckled back

Dig in and demonstrate

How shall we satiate

Requesting reciprocation

Counting chances

Passed on

Lost to time

Something someone’s

Not trying to find

So why am I-

Still tempted 

To try?
